Louise Colbourne 2013

(also the German word for Mother) features some of the photographs that my father, an amateur photographer, shot on his medium format camera in the 1960’s. Using these images as source material I took the opportunity to animate a short sequence on the 35mm rostrum camera at the No.w.here lab. This was a chance to experiment, exploring the possibilities and constraints of the apparatus, the 35mm print stock, the developing process and animation techniques themselves….
